New laminate washrooms test positive for quality
Nottingham’s new BioCity Discovery building is a state of the art facility designed by CMPG Architects. Housing 50,000 sq. ft. of high-tech laboratories, office space and conference facilities, the building supports 700 new bioscience jobs in Nottingham, the UK’s fastest growing life sciences community.
Designed for top scientific research, Wilmott Dixon, the contractor, felt it was only appropriate that the build featured top-quality material; Formica laminate fit the criteria and was selected for the washrooms.
Formica laminate is non-porous and water resistant, a great choice for changing room cubicles. It is also hygienic and easy to clean, an important consideration in an area where biological and chemical research is conducted.
The laminate was specified in Macchiato Walnut to complement the installation of Delta’s Zenith cubicles and lockers in warm woodgrain effect, adding to the changing room areas natural appeal and biophilic aesthetic.
