Manchester business communications firm voted best in UK
Manchester business communications firm, the Incom-CNS Group, has been voted best in the UK with a double win at the Comms National Awards in London. The company was bestowed the honour of Best Enterprise Cloud Solution for their work at Manchester Royal Infirmary (MRI) and then went on to win the ultimate prize, Best Enterprise Reseller of the Year, defeating rivals from across the UK.
Hosted by Cold Feet star, James Nesbitt, the Comms National Awards is renowned as the ‘Oscars’ of the business communications industry and the record number of entries this year were judged by respected, independent experts. Competing with big brands like Gamma, Daisy, and KCOM, Incom-CNS was also ‘highly commended’ for its Vertical Market and Unified Communications Solutions, making it the only UK Partner to receive recognition in all the categories they entered.
The winning awards were based on case studies of the Mitel Private Cloud solution which Incom-CNS provided at the MRI, one of the world’s leading Women and Children’s hospitals. The solution for 7,200 users was Mitel’s largest IT transformation project in Europe last year and saved the NHS Trust £700,000 over the life-cycle of the system.
Incom-CNS managing director David Hughes comments: “I am completely bowled over as, once again, we have been recognised by our peers for being the best at what we do. The Incom-CNS Group resulted from the coming together of two respected powerhouses in the business communications industry and these accolades are testament to that combined strength. I would like to highlight and praise our technical team, who continually work so hard behind the scenes to deliver these award-winning solutions for our customers.”
The MRI project was impressive for its innovation and size, but Incom-CNS also demonstrated its ability to manage a seamless roll-out and handle unforeseen issues without the hospital experiencing any loss of service during the installation. Mike Beevers, Head of PFI Contract and Commercial Planning for Central Manchester Foundation Trust (CMFT) comments: “During the planning and deployment stage, CMFT found Incom-CNS to be responsive and hard-working. On-site engineers were flexible, keeping disruption to a minimum, which was vital given the critical nature of the working environment.”
The project was so successful that the model is being used as a blue-print for other Manchester hospitals, including Altrincham and Trafford General.
Nigel Sergent, Editorial Director at BPL Business Media Limited, which organises the Comms National Awards, adds: “The cloud solution implemented at the Manchester Royal Infirmary clearly impressed the judges. Incom-CNS won the SME Reseller of the Year in 2016 – this demonstrates the growth it has achieved and represents a truly impressive ‘double’ success.”
